The Early Years Centre (previously known as the Under 5's unit) opened its doors in 1987, launching its first day with the introduction of a parent & toddler group to meet the needs of families in the local area. This was soon followed with a playgroup in 1988 catering for families requiring sessional childcare. All this occurred in the newly built building adjacent to the adventure playground and became our home (and many families' second home!) for the next 30 years - what an achievement!

The Early Years Centre is registered with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) to provide childcare for children from age 2 years. The CIW regulate our provision to ensure we maintain the highest standards of care and meet the National Minimum Standards for Early Years care.
